Green Spot Under Acrylic Nail
Black spots under nail can also be caused by the following conditions.
Green spot under acrylic nail. The green color is a stain and will remain until the nail has grown out though most likely the bacteria is no longer active once exp. It is not the bacteria itself. So poor fitting of the fake nails is also one of the causes of acrylic nail.
As a nail technician our training tells us that the best thing to do is remove the nail and let it grow off. Green nail syndrome is caused by infection with Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Since the discoloration is underneath the nail it will not disappear with washing or scrubbing.
Clean the wound with water or saline solution. When not treated properly this spot will continue to grow and cause some significant damage to the natural nail. It happens mostly when you are applying these nails yourself.
This green spot is a bacteria. The green spots wont go away. Pseudomonas sue-dough-no-mus bacterial spores can become trapped between the nail plate and the acrylic or gel overlay.
Now heres the hard part. The condition is usually confined to one or two nails and can involve fingernails or toenails. Jaundice is a medical term that describes the yellowing of the skin.
Green nails are caused by a bacterial infection caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Aspergillus. Some nail fungus from artificial acrylic nails may cause the natural nail to detach from its nail bed. This can occur when moisture collects under acrylic nails.
